6 April 2026 - Labuan Financial Services Authority participated in the Labuan Industry Convergence Workshop organised by UMS FKAL. The discussion serves as a key platform to gather industry input and reference for Labuan IBFC’s upcoming 5-year roadmap, to better support the real sector in Labuan, across financial services, maritime, logistics, and tourism.

DG Affendi Rashdi participated as a panelist in the Experts Panel Session, alongside Dato’ Husni, Chairman of Labuan Corporation, the CEO of Labuan Corporation, and the GM of Mega Port. DG highlighted that the next phase for Labuan IBFC is to translate its strong global foundation into tangible economic impact for Labuan, through talent development, stronger spillovers, and infrastructure growth, while continuing to support the real economy via solutions such as captives and sukuk, with stronger public–private coordination and execution.
