During the conference, Ms. Essah Abd Manaf, Head of AML Policy, Risk Monitoring & Surveillance, shared perspectives on strengthening Malaysia’s AML/CFT/CPF framework beyond MER 2025, particularly beneficial ownership transparency and cross-border transactions. Meanwhile, Mr. Abu Lokmanulhakim Abu Bakar, Head of AML & NLE Supervision, highlighted the importance of outcome-focused, risk-based supervision, supported by data, technology and collaboration in enhancing financial crime prevention within Labuan IBFC. Labuan FSA’s participation reaffirmed its continued commitment to strengthening regulatory effectiveness, financial integrity and industry collaboration.
