FIDE Forum - Balancing Global Expectations and Local Realities in International Financial Centres
Labuan FSA Director General Mr. Affendi Rashdi delivered the keynote address, sharing regulatory perspectives on the future positioning of international financial centres and emphasising strong governance, resilience and trust as important foundations for competitiveness. The programme also featured the panel discussion “Governance Beyond Borders: Strengthening Oversight in International Financial Centres,” which explored board oversight across jurisdictions, global standards and local realities, as well as emerging risks involving financial crime, cyber, digitalisation, ESG and regulatory divergence.
