Bank of Tanzania Visit to Labuan FSA

Labuan FSA received the delegation from the Bank of Tanzania to Labuan FSA's Kuala Lumpur office for a benchmarking visit. The delegation was warmly received by En Affendi Rashdi, the Director General of Labuan FSA, marking the start of a productive engagement and knowledge-sharing session between both institutions.

Labuan FSA hosted a briefing session with a delegation from the Bank of Tanzania, led by En Syahrul Imran Mahadzir, the Deputy Director General of Labuan FSA. The session introduced Labuan FSA and the Labuan IBFC, with discussions on the legal and prudential framework, supervisory practices, and AML policies, including highlights from Malaysia’s FATF Mutual Evaluation Report and the recognition of Labuan IBFC in Malaysia’s strong assessment outcomes.
