SINGAPORE, 3 June 2014 – Labuan International Business and Financial Centre (Labuan IBFC) collected an award at the prestigious 2014 WealthBriefingAsia Awards ceremony in Singapore that gathered more than 200 practitioners and professionals from the international financial services community. The midshore international business and financial centre won the esteemed 'Editor's Award' in the category of Best Islamic Finance Offering in Wealth Management for its innovation and excellence during 2013.
In selecting the winner for the EDITOR'S AWARD - ISLAMIC FINANCE OFFERING, the judges declared "being impressed by the way Labuan IBFC maintains a panel of Islamic wealth management specialists available both to respond to client queries, and to advise on new developments and trends. It has also made significant inroads in driving collaboration with other like-minded institutions."
Receiving the award for Labuan IBFC was its Chief Executive Officer, Saiful Bahari Baharom who said the award was testament of the jurisdiction's active efforts in promoting Islamic wealth management.
